Recent changes in the Trucking Industry

The flatbed trucking industry is currently experiencing a strong resurgence with a market that is highly constrained. Seasonal construction, a multitude of energy projects, and data-centers going in on every corner and expanding, rates are at a multi-year high. With the number of carrier's decreasing the trucking industry is looking strong and rates are continuing to stay elevated.

The flatbed segment, in particular, is currently one of the tightest areas in the trucking market. This is not necessarily due to a demand surge, but rather a consistent need with an ever shrinking flatbed carrier capacity that is driving up this momentum.

Specialized trucking carriers are in demand as active projects with infrastructure, utility expansion, heavy machinery, and all the industrial building supplies are utilizing the open deck market along with multi-axle equipment required for hauling overdimensional loads.
